Clerical regime displays photos of 50 of the hundreds killed in the uprising

The Iranian regime, faced with pressure from relatives of those killed during the recent nationwide uprising, has released photographs of 50 victims for identification purposes, according to reports obtained from inside Iran on Monday. The photos were posted at a police station in Shapour Street in Tehran, which has become one of the main centres for torturing the detainees. To avoid stirring up public anger, especially during the previously announced protests of July 9, the criminal mullahs had up until today refused to acknowledge the deaths and to reveal the victims’ pictures.

In the city of Ahvaz (south-western Iran), the bodies of some of those slain in recent weeks have been returned to their families.

The 50 pictures of those killed during the uprising are revealed while regime officials had until today refused to announce the number of deaths.

Agents of the notorious Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and the mullahs’ Judiciary are threatening families not to spread information or take any subsequent legal action against the murderers and torturers of their relatives. The regime’s henchmen threaten these families that in case of further protests, the rest of their children would meet the same fate as the victims.

  1. Thank you for the information. The bravery of the protesters in Iran is beyond belief. I am working on some articles on Iran for the website I edit, www.emperors-clothes.com Do you know any place on the Internet, or is there any way I can get, a picture showing the names and/or pictures posted in that police station? That way I could publish them, but only if this would *not* endanger relatives? My email is emperorsclothes@tenc.net Thank you.
