A Father’s Letter to Ban Ki Moon: Please Help Us نامه پدر زندانی کرد انور حسین پناهی به "بان کی مون

جناب آقای بانکی مون دبیر کل سازمان ملل متحد
اینجانب محمد حسین پناهی پدر انور حسین پناهی فعال مدنی ایرانی هستم که دو سال قبل به جرمی ناکرده محکوم به اعدام شد! اما به واسطه ی حمایت های بین المللی نهادهای حقوق بشری و همین طور اتحادیه ی اروپا از پسرم حکم اعدام وی در دادگاه تجدید نظر جمهوری اسلامی لغو و به شش سال زندان تبدیل شد.
در همین حال برادر کوچکتر انور به نام اشرف نیز که تنها پی گیر پرونده به شمار می آمد سال گذشته به طرز مشکوکی به قتل رسید .
از سوی دیگر ماموران وزارت اطلاعات حکومت جمهوری اسلامی در هفته ی گذشته پسر هجده ساله من را نیز به خاطر دنبال کردن پرونده ی انور و نه اتهام دیگری در منزل بازداشت کرده و به مکان نا معلومی منتقل کرده اند.
اینها همه در حالی رخ داده که بارها و بارها من که در آستانه ی هفتاد سالگی قرار دارم و همسرم و حتی دخترانم به اداره ی اطلاعات فراخوانده شدیم و مورد بازجویی و تهدید قرار گرفته ایم.
عالی جناب
پرسش من از جنابعالی به عنوان دبیر کل سازمان ملل متحد آن است که در کجای دنیا فردی را به خاطر فعالیت های فرد دیگر دستگیر می کنند؟
تمام اتهام من، همسر، دختران و پسرانم که در ایران هستیم این است که دو فرزندم به خاطر اعتقاداتی که داشتند در راه مبارزه ی سیاسی با حکومت جمهوری اسلامی قرار گرفته اند و برای ادامه ی فعالیت هایشان در خارج ازایران زندگی می کنند . در این شرایط و با فرض اینکه دو فرزندم خطایی هم مرتکب شده باشند آیا می شود دیگر اعضای خانواده را محاکمه و مجازات کرد؟
حال در این شرایط سخت که بر من و خانواده ام روا داشته اند ما فریاد مظلومیت و داد خواهی خود را به گوش شما می رسانیم، چرا که بر این باوریم سازمان ملل متحد با سیاست هایی که دارد هموراه جانب کسانی را داشته که از بیداد به تنگ آمده و به این نهاد بین المللی پناه آورده اند.
باشد تا این ندای مظلومیت من و خانواده ام که در چند سال اخیر لحظه ای آرامش و آسایش را به خود ندیده ایم
به گوش جهانیان برسد.

Mohammad Hossein-Panahi whose son Anvar is a prisoner of conscience has written an open letter to the UN secretary general in which he has depicted the pressures his family and himself have been subjected to. The following is the text of his letter:


Dear Mr. Ban Ki Moon,


Secretary General of the United Nations


My name is Mohammad Hossein-Panahi and I am the father of Anvar Hossen-Panahi. Two years ago my son who is a civil activist was sentenced to death for a crime that he had not committed. Following the international support by various human rights organizations and the EU, the Appeals Court overturned the death sentence and reduced it to 6 years in prison.


During this time Anvar’s younger brother, Ashraf, who was the only one in the family following up on Anvar’s case, was killed under suspicious circumstances.


Last week the agents of the Iranian Intelligence Ministry came to our house and arrested my other son who is 18 years old and took him to an unknown location. He is accused of following up on his detained brother’s case.


All through these years my wife, my daughters and myself have been summoned, interrogated and threatened many times by the Intelligence Ministry’s local Office.

My question to you as the Secretary General of the United Nations is where else in the world people are arrested for the activities of others?


The only accusation against my wife, my children and myself is that two of my sons, who were involved in a political fight against the Islamic Republic, left Iran in order to continue their activities outside the country.


I am writing to let you know of the dire situation my family and I have been subjected to and to plead for your help. It is my belief that the United Nations has always taken the side of the oppressed who have asked for its help.


Perhaps this letter will help the world know about the plight of my family who has not seen a moment of peace during these years.
