Two student activists from Tabriz University were arrested last night by agents from the Intelligence Ministry.
HRA- The student unit of HRA reports that Rasoul Alinejad and Behrooz Faridi who were missing since Wednesday night, called to inform their families that were being held at the Intelligence Ministry’s detention centre.
The arrests came ahead of Ahmadinejad’s visit to Tabriz. Reports suggest that in recent weeks, student activists in Tabriz have been the target of a pressure and intimidation campaign. Several students have been arrested and are currently detained.
