The student activist and member of HRA has not been heard from, after she and her husband were arrested last Wednesday.
HRA- the Prisoners’ Rights Unit of HRA reports that there is no information on the fate or whereabouts of Mahdieh Golroo despite her family’s efforts to seek information from the Revolutionary Court and Evin prison.
Golroo’s family is extremely worried after they were told by the Revolutionary Court and Evin prison that their daughter was not registered on their lists.
Golroo’s husband, VahiD La’lipoor, is being held in the quarantine section of Evin prison.
Golroo has been sentenced to one year of suspended prison for writing articles showing a dark picture of the regime as well as giving interviews to foreign media organizations.
Golroo is a banned Allameh University student and a member of the Right to Education Council. She was once arrested and detained in Evin, last year during a sit-in at Allameh University, but was released later.
