Students once more prove their courage and resistance
bound to a post on the side of the way,
is being whipped
by those butchers
Ambushed on passages
With bloody cuts and cleavers
It is a strange time, darling.
****************************
Iranian students have endured hard and bloody days in recent years, especially since the electoral coup. Yesterday the students proved once more their courage and resistance. We should bow in respect in front of students’ resistance and love for freedom, since they chose prison, torture, brutal beatings, detention, sacrifice of well-being, and martyrdom for the future of Iran.
They entered the sacred ground of the university with their batons and fake IDs. With brutality and endless violence, they attacked the true Guards of this ground. They tried their best to disrupt and make violent the student gatherings. At the end, just like the Moguls, they did nothing but destruct universities and arrest students.
Polytechnic University and other universities called out for freedom. Students stood together and sang the song of their rightfulness.
The magnificent and unique gathering of Amir Kabir students which happened with the invitation from the Islamic Association from the university (which was itself the first victim of the project to destruct student’s societies since the ninth government started working on Iranian universities) proved that every student has the blood of liberty running in their veins.
But what did those who go around the globe demanding justice and peace do with students? They hurled stones at the genuine sons and daughters of Iran as if they are filled with nothing but spite and hatred. They closed their eyes on the rightful slogans of students and they opened their mouths. They threw tear gases and finally stationed their buses in front of gates and detained students in groups. They started their propaganda machines that are propped up by the money of people, and they distributed lies.
Those who cant stand the freedom-loving students of Amir Kabir have once again started destructing the respect of noble humans. Those people should know that the students’ love for freedom means they will risk themselves in the road to freedom. In the hearts and minds of the students is Majid Tavakoli, a member of Amir Kabir University’s Islamic Association.
Iranian dictatorship should in fact be angry from the speeches and criticisms of Majid Tavakoli of the tyranny that rules the country for they found themselves like a king and the students have exposed his nakedness. They are now desperate in the face of clear student slogans and have thus exposed their desire to avenge Majid Tavakoli.
The magnificent and vast protests of resisting Iranian students all over the country has made the petty tyrants of the country so confused that they could do nothing but to clothe Majid Tavakoli with female garb and take pictures of him. What they don’t know is that Majid Tavakoli is the pride of the student movement, whether in men’s or women’s clothing. What has been and will be important is the steadfastness and resistance of Iranian students for acquiring freedom and there is no doubt that this will continue all the way to establishment of democracy, whether with men’s or women’s clothes.
These shameful oppressors are the same ones who in 2006 started a project of fraudulent student press in Amir Kabir University to suppress the student activists there and after brutal tortures got false confessions from students for the court. The court declared the newspapers, fraudulent but still Majid Tavakoli, together with two other innocent students, spent one year and three months in detention. Last February he was arrested when attending the commemoration of Mehdi Bazagran and spentmonths in prison again.
After his release, they gave exile to Bandar Abbas to continue his studies. Majid’s exile to Bandar Abbas was unjust and illegal, but he started his studies there in last September. Now the lie-producing media that are aligned with the coup government and revolutionary guards (whose managers go to universities with fraudulent documents and discrimination) claim that he was dismissed from the university. The Coup stagers themselves have fraudulent documents, plagiarized essays, and stolen inventions; yet they rank high on entrance exams and go to Tehran University and at the end get their PhD from Oxford University.
Now, they talk about the lack of scientific decency for those who have been deprived from education and exiled because they want freedom for university and society.
In a land that frauds like Kordan and Rahimi get degrees and thieves like Behbahani and Kamran Daneshjoo plagiarize other people’s essays, it is no wonder that Majid Tavakoli looks like a dismissed student to coup stagers.
Each and every one of Amir Kabir students who was sent to torture rooms of Evin are students who are sacrificing their freedom in the way of freedom and they are an honor to students, even if they do to them what they did to Majid Tavakoli: brutal and crazy beatings in universities, arrests, torture, and sending them in front of a camera while covered in bruises, while they clothed him with a scarf and chador (hijab).
They are the ones who teach us the lesson of resistance in torture rooms and solitary cells. They are the ones who, even if dismissed a hundred times, will come back to their genuine, true place and put out the occupiers of this land.
The Islamic Association of Amir Kabir University thanks the resistant and militant students for organizing a magnificent gathering. We warn the government goons and forces that the more you blow on the ash-seeming flames of the university, it will get bigger, and it will end up burning you. The university will not leave alone its brave and resistant friends and will always insist on its freedom-loving causes even when you turn Evin into a university.
Don’t risk pondering,
It’s a strange time, darling
That who bangs on the door at night time
has come to kill the lamp,
Let light be concealed in the closet
