No Prison Visits for Mahdieh Golroo

The visitation rights for Mahdieh Golroo have been revoked. Golroo was arrested along with her husband on December 3rd, 2009.

HRA-The Prisoners’ Rights Unit of HRA reports that the family of Mahdieh Golroo has been told that neither her nor her husband are registered on the databases of the Revolutionary Court or the Prosecutor’s office.
In a short phone call made two days ago, Golroo had told her family that she was being held in a solitary cell of ward 209 in Evin Prison. Following the phone call, Golroo’s family went to Evin yesterday, but was told by officials that no prison visits were allowed for their daughter.
It is not clear which authority has ordered Golroo’s detention in Evin.
Mahdieh Golroo who is a colleague of HRA was arrested and taken to Evin, along with her husband on December 3rd. Shortly before her arrest, Golroo had received a 1 year suspended prison term.
