Revolutionary Guard statement: Basijis will stifle enemies’ voices
Green Path Movement News Agency (Jaras): The Sepah [army] has issued a statement in which it thanks people for their participation in Wednesday’s [pro-government] rally while stressing that “Tehran Basijis will smother all the voices heard from the throats of the regime’s enemies.”
According to Iran Labour News Agency (ILNA), the statement reads:
The participation of millions of clerics, Basijis, women, men and youth, both girls and boys, who had been irked by desecration committed by contemporary Yazidis [Yazid was the Caliph who was responsible for the death of Imam Hossein] on Ashura [Sunday, December 27th], shows their fidelity to religion, and school of thought of Imam Hossein , and demonstrate their preparedness and their loyalty to Velayat [Guardianship of Jurisprudence i.e. leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei].
Today, the enemies have blatantly targeted the essence of religion and religious leadership. Those deceived and duped forces inside Iran who are abetting the enemy should know that they will not get anywhere through such scornful acts.
The devoted Basijis of Greater Tehran will smother all the voices that come out of the throat of the enemies of the sacred regime of the Islamic Republic. The enemy and its agents should know that this land has been founded by Imam Zaman [the last successor saint to Prophet Mohammed in Shiite faith] and Velayat is its basis. It would be a false fantasy to think that satanic, delinquent, and hypocritical moves would even slightly abrade this regime and revolution.
Basijis inspired by Ashura and obedience of Velayat [Ayatollah Khamenei] are ready to sacrifice their lives in this path, and will support the revolution with all their strength. Should the politically defeated along with those duped by Eastern and Western power act to hurt the feelings of the faithfuls and the Great Leader, they will be dealt with harshly by supporters of Velayat .
People with their presence and participation have given their ultimatum to officials, and particularly judiciary, to throw the book at the audacious enemies. This demand was manifested in the statement read at the end of [pro-government] the rally on Wednesday.
The Sepah [army] of Greater Tehran sends its warmest regards and gratitude to the courageous people who took part in Tehran’s rally and asks for continued participation to defend Velayat.
