Saeed Haeri, a member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters was arrested on Dec 19, 2009

The Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) – According to reports, Saeed Haeri, a member of CHRR, was arrested on Saturday Dec 19, along with Koohyar Goodarzi and Shiva Nazar Ahari.

At 21:30pm on Saturday Dec 19, a bus taking a group of social activists and families of political prisoners to the burial ceremony of the late Ayatollah Montazeri in Qom, was stopped by the security forces at Enqelab Square. After 45 minutes of searching the bus, and asking for passenger IDs and cell phones, the security agents arrested three members of CHRR, along with Mahboobeh Abbasgholizadeh, a women’s movement activist. Abbas Gholizadeh was released on Dec 20, after giving commitment.

So far, the number of detained members of CHRR has reached five. Shiva Nazar Ahari, Kooshyar Goodarzi, Saeed Jalalifar, Saeed Kalanaki, and Saeed Haeri are the five members of CHRR that are currently in detention.
