Babol University of Technology Student Remains in Prison Since Ashura

According to the Human Rights Activists Thoughts and Expressions report, Iranian Intelligence forces arrested Sina Mehdinia, during Ashura’s anti-government protests. Sina is a student activist at Babol Noshirvani University of Technology.

Three other students from the same university were arrested during Ashura while protesting election fraud [June Presidential election].

On December 28th (Ashura), there were massive protests held in most Iranian cities. Hundreds of protesters were arrested and sent to jail by different Iranian government groups. Most recently, government authorities have declared that some of the arrested citizens are expected to be executed in the near future.
