Iran’s Intelligence Service Enters University of Tehran Dorm

On the afternoon of January 13, 2010, Iran’s intelligence service, with the cooperation of university officials, entered the University of Tehran’s student dormitory to investigate Dr. Farzad Kalbali’s room who was arrested on December 7, 2009.

According to a report by Amir Kabir News, during the investigation they took his computer, books, and his writings.In recent days at the University of Tehran, the atmosphere has been very tense. The students are also under tight control.

Additionally, university officials broke into room 3 in building 7 which is occupied by two students who were taken to government officials. There is no further news about the identity and current conditions of the two students.

These current pressures have been ongoing for students. The case of the previous dormitory attack in June 2009 still remains unsolved.
Also, the case of university heads and their cooperation with government officials to break into the dormitory on December 7th and 8th to beat students and damage their personal belongings remains unsolved.
