Eight killed and injured in Iranshahr shootings

At least eight people are killed and injured after Iranshahr police shoot at civilians.

Baluchestan Committee of Human Rights Activists group in Iran reports that on January 7th, 2010, police forces started shooting at passings car on Darzadeh Street in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan. Their reasons are unclear. a driver by the name of Moradbakhsh Kadkhodaei died on the scene. His car led to a clash with another car that went into flames and four of its passengers died as a result of severe injuries. After the police shot at this second car (make: Kia Pride), they fled the scene without helping the civilians.

It should be noted that Mr. Kadkhodaei’s wife and two children who were with him were severely injured in the incident.
