HRANA- Prisoners’ Rights: Parviz Zahedi, the sports editor of Iran newspaper, confirmed the arrest of former Persepolis football striker, Ehsan Khorsandi, at the Ashura demonstrations.
In an interview with Deutsche Welle Persian, Zahedi confirmed Ehsan Khorsandi’s arrest during the anti-government demonstration on Ashura in Tehran’s Valiasr street. Parviz Zahedi expressed the possibility that Ehsan Khorsandi, like many other young people, was merely an observer at the demonstrations. Parviz Zahedi clarified that he has not been informed if Khorsandi has been officially accused of any particular crime.
