Iranian Police: The files of 300 persons arrested on Day of Ashura forwarded to the Judicature.

HRANA News (Human Rights Activists News Agency)—Prisoners Rights: The Deputy of the Commander of Iranian Security Forces announced forwarding the files of 300 persons arrested on the day of Ashura to the judicature and added that the arrests would continue.

General Ahmad-Reza Radan told to reporters, on Thursday morning 31December(10 Dey), the security forces found out the hiding place of some of “rioters” and would arrest them soon.

In addition to this, Ebrahim Raiesi, the first undersecretary of judicature said, confirming the decision of the judicature to confront the “rioters” immediately: Public prosecutor’s office has issued their arrest order in its highest grade and will not permit the possibility of any guaranty or security (Vassigheh and Kefalat).

About the charge of those arrested, he said, “The least is causing disorder and insecurity and the highest is war against Islam (Moharebeh).”

The day before, General Esmaieel Ahmadi-Moghadddam, the Chief of Iranian Poilce, described the act of those who attacked the police, destroy public places [and properties], or use “Sakhtarshekan”[deconstructing] slogans, as Moharebeh (war against Islam) and said that the judicature will deal with them in a very harsh way.

He announced the number of those arrested by police to be 500 and said the other organizations have arrested [people] too.

No exact statistics have been published about those arrested or the names of the organisations which have arrested them, but the opposition news sites report the arrest of more than 1000 people.

In recent days, the heads of security forces and judicature have experienced harsh reactions by protesters, and many times the word “Moharebeh” has been applied against them.

According to the Iranian Judicial Law [of the Islamic Republic], Moharebeh is a heavy crime and can result in the death penalty as punishment.

  1. This "govt." action is a big peversian of the meaning of islam as discribed by Mohamad, and by the Quran.
    This whole situation is truley an attack by Kamaneis folk based on an islam that places the clergy above the freedoms of the individual.
